“Gimme Riddim” was a very popular radio song in the late 80s, in Jamaica. The singing duo, Mello & Jello were produced by producer, Michael Reynolds, and they recorded a few songs that had moderate success.

This footage in this video gives you a good look at what Half Way Tree was like in the late 80s, including inside of the iconic landmark, namely the Aquarius Records shop and recording studio.

The man who speaks to the ladies at the start of the video is the award-winning music producer, Robert Livingston, who managed Shaggy and other top-name reggae artists.
