I produced this video in 1993 for Russell Hadeed of Godfathers Nite Club and Donovan Germaine of Penthouse Records. It was one of a few videos and audio recording projects that Russell and I carried out between 1992 and 1994, under the Godfathers Productions, moniker. At that time, we were unofficially managing DJ Tiger, who along with other entertainment celebrities, hosted our TV series entitled “Reggae Dancehall ’93” which was recorded in the very popular, Godfathers Nite Club.
This event was to launch albums for Penthouse artists, Buju Banton, Wayne Wonder, and Marcia Griffiths. The venue for this event was the car park opposite the Godfathers Nite Club on Knutsford Boulevard, New Kingston, Jamaica. A number of celebrities were interviewed in the video, including the now deceased, Labba Labba (dancer), Jose “Beng” Walton, a noted videographer, who was DP on many of my video productions, especially the King Stur Mars dances, and, psychologist/social philosopher, Dr. Leachim Semaj.
