Bounty Killer’s first music video “Cellular Phone” (1995)

The first Bounty Killer music video I produced for King Jammy’s. My respect for the Killer is UP from the day I produced this video. When I was shooting the scenes with him I kept calling him Beenie, then kept correcting myself, and when the shoot was over I went to him, again, and apologized profusely. I explained that I have been shooting quite a number of videos with Beenie Man, so the name kept rolling off my tongue as Bounty and Beenie sound kind of similar. He was very gracious in accepting my apology and said he understood. The point is, at no time during the shoot did he get cross, angry, and miserable with me, and this was during the period when both artists were in a serious lyrical war.

We shot the video in King Jammy’s studio, in the community, at Sheraton Hotel, and around town in a rented limo.
