Capleton talks about the return of A St Mary Mi Come From 8/5/16 after a 3 year hiatus. — the annual charity stage-show sought to enrich lives, whether through the children’s treat which happens on the day of the event, or through the donation of equipment to schools or police youth clubs in St Mary, Jamaica and adjoining parishes.
Some beneficiaries include the St Mary Infirmary, the Port Maria Hospital, Islington High School, Highgate Corner League, Highgate United Football League, St Mary Police Youth Club, Beecham Hill Primary and Infant School, Half Way Tree Primary School and Buff Bay Primary School.
Capleton won 2013 “Marcus Garvey Humanitarian Award” at the 32nd Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) May 4th in Florida for his outstanding contributions to charity using funds raised at his annual Benefit concert, A St Mary Mi Come From.
